Pune IT Park

This project is about the website redesign for Pune IT Park based in Pune, Maharashtra. The goal is to create a modern and user-friendly design that could attract potential customers.

About The Project

Pune IT Park is the city’s first private IT park that began its operations back in 2000, intending to be the real estate partner of the growing IT sector in Pune and to encourage entrepreneurs in starting their businesses.

The goal of the project is to create a minimalist Website with structured information and atmospheric visuals, easy and understandable for any user. To tell IT startups and firms about the benefits and all types of workspaces of Pune IT Park and provide an opportunity to rent the right infrastructure conveniently and simply.

The Problem

I evaluated the old interface of the website and identified some existing problems;

  • The outdated design of the website didn't reflect the brand's personality

  •  The website was too clustered

  •  Too much unclear/unnecessary information

  •  No emphasis on a call to action (CTA)

The Goal

Based on the problems, the following are the goals I aimed to achieve;

  • Improve the look and feel of the website, keeping in line with the brand's identity and guidelines

  • Restructuring the Information Architecture of the site to provide clear content, making it easier for users to understand the company's services and generate potential customers/clients

  • Input call to action in noticeable areas

Design Process

I was the only designer that worked on this project and I also collaborated with both frontend and backend developers to bring the design to live.

User Research

I performed secondary research and collected data metrics from a third-party tool, Google Analytics, which was already implemented on the website. I also studied user traffic and engagements, site analytics, user conversion, user behavior flows, and other important metrics.

Competitors Analysis

I studied and evaluated different IT services companies, identified and analyzed their strength and weaknesses, and the kind of design they have implemented on their website.

A few include EON IT Park and Magarpatta City.

Takeaways

  • Site navigation was clear on every website

  • These websites made good use of whitespace

  • Most of the websites had their CTA on the landing page where it is easy for users to access

  • Most of the websites have clear classifications and required information for decision making

Conclusion

I was the only designer on this project. After much deliberation in satisfying the client with the UI, and also ensuring the site is user-friendly to the users, the client approved the above design, and was developed.

I did this project as part of Fifth Estate Agency, Pune, India.
