Who I am

Hi, I'm Ekta.

I'm currently in Berlin, looking for my next role as a Product Designer, and I'm happy to relocate within Germany for the right team. I've completed my German B1 and I'm still improving it every week. I'm also using AI tools like Claude and Figma Make to explore and prototype faster, including to build this portfolio, and I still test with real people.

It started in computer science. I spent five years as a tester, reading bug reports and watching real people get stuck. At some point I wanted to fix the cause, not just report it, so I moved into UX. I still ask how something might break before I decide how it should work.

For nearly four years I've designed B2B SaaS and enterprise products for teams who can't afford confusion, from cloud tooling to intranets and public services. In 2024 I added a Master's in Digital Design from Amsterdam.

I grew up in India and now live in Germany, which taught me to listen first. Away from the screen you'll find me gardening, travelling slowly or wandering somewhere new.
